The Crawford County R-II School district has an opening for a middle school art teacher for the 2025-26 school year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
• To motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
• Provide positive feedback and encouragement for students.
• Facilitates an environment that promotes academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
• Organizes and uses various teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize each child's learning, individually and in group settings.
• Assesses student progress, provides students and parents with specific feedback, and uses the results to adjust instruction as needed; serves as a communication link between school and home.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators.
- Crawford County R-2 operates on a 4-day schedule.
- Receive credit for the number of years you have taught in public education for placement on the salary schedule.
TEACHING ASSIGNMENT:
Middle School Art
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in major area of study
• Certification: Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in Art Education
• Effective oral and written communication skills
