Job Description: The Crawford County R-II School District is seeking to hire a 6th-grade ELA Instructor at Cuba Middle School for the 2025-26 School year.   ***Due to enrollment, this is a one-year position. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• To establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom.
• To motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each child, every day.
• Provides positive feedback and encouragement for students.
• Facilitates an environment that promotes improved oral and written English skills, academic success, social growth, and well-being of all students.
• Organizes and uses a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
• Assesses student progress, provides students and parents with specific feedback, and uses the results to adjust instruction as needed; serves as a communication link between school and home.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervising administrators.
• Crawford County R-2 operates on a 4-day schedule.
• Receive credit for the number of years you have taught in public education for placement on the salary schedule. 

 TEACHING ASSIGNMENT:

• 6th Grade ELA 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the major area of study
• Certification:  Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in 5-9 Language Arts
• Effective oral and written communication skills
